Item Description
First is 2-1/8" pair of celluloid pieces held by a single rivet so that the clear celluloid on the reverse can be swiveled to the side allowing the owner to write their name and address on the reverse side of the front piece. Both pieces have a slot for a leather strap. Front of the piece includes Rochester union bug along with text "'Syracuse Chiefs' Baseball Club/Syracuse, New York". Unused. The luggage tag was issued shortly after their founding year of 1934. With it comes 1.25" button pictured as item 19 on page 58 of Baseball Pinback Buttons. Button is done in outstanding color reminiscent of the 1930s or earlier but the reverse of the button has a manufacturing style c. early 1960s. Both are Exc. and display Mint.
