Item Description
Sizes are 2" to 3.5". Those buttons we designate as book examples mostly appear on page 221 with one of the 3.5" buttons appearing on page 68. Group begins with book button #82 "Enjoy The Play In Triple A". Cream background has numerous slightly darker marks, the ribbons are faded and the celluloid baseball has soil. Still the button itself displays well with nice gloss. The next two buttons for 1965 and 1974 are unlisted in the book. These are followed by buttons dated 1977-1982 and these are all photo plate examples. The 1981 button has some scattered spots on extreme edge. In the bottom row the first button is book example #139. The next 3" button in b/w is unlisted as is the final 3.5" button. The b/w button has light surface wear in reflected light but remains quite clean. The final button has a small scratch on center left background and a whitish mark on far right at edge.
