Item Description
Button sizes are 1.25" up to 4". First is a "Yankees 57" stadium vendor button c. 1950s or perhaps even earlier. Muchinsky shows one of these in his book ($100 value) but this is not the book plate example as that button has serial "378" and this button has serial "57". Next is a rare 1.75" team name button in dark blue and white with original ribbons attached. Judging from the type face and construction c. 1930s. Next is a "Yankees" logo button which is somewhat uncommon in that it does not include the stitching baseball design as do most of these similar bat and top hat logo buttons. Next is large 4" full color button with title "Yankees World Champs". This pictures players from the 1978 World Series victory and curl carries a 1979 copyright. Pictured at top is manager Bob Lemon followed by Munson and Jackson plus six others. Very light surface rubs in reflected light but still displaying NM. Next is litho from radio station with opening day date of April 5, 1979. Paint surface has some filiform corrosion under the paint but paint remains near 100% complete, VG. Next is button dated for "Yankee Night July 9, 1981." This was a master button from the archive of button collector Marshall Levin with his reverse notation "Media Networks Inc./NYC/6/81/150" (meaning only 150 made). Last is a "WABC77" issued litho button with hand inked notation on the back "4/21/85/Sec. 15/Clev.-3/Yanks-0" Last are a pair of 1998 and 2000 key fobs with stiff plastic attachments and text on back explaining how to use these to make telephone calls. Each back carries the name of the company "Trans World Diversified Services." All are Exc. to Mint with exceptions noted.
