Item Description
Sizes are 1.5" up to a 3" flasher plus ribbons. The first seven buttons in this group appear as items 1-7 on page 187 plus the eighth button in this group appears as button #14 on page 188. The remaining four buttons in this lot are unlisted in Muchinsky and include a 1.75" "Colts" button c. 1962-64. Few buttons exist with this name. In 1965 the team became the Astros and they were the first team to play in a domed stadium. The building when built was called "The Eighth Wonder Of The World" and it is pictured in gold and white on the seventh button of this group. There is also a photographic image of it on the flasher which alternates with the word "Astrodome." Second button in this group has slight pair of indents on the edges but still displays cleanly as do all the rest. Exc. to Mint overall. These are the final Astros buttons from the Muchinsky Collection.
