Item Description
Oversized 12.75x17" hardcover w/248 pages. Published in 1988 by Another Rainbow in an edition of just 3,000, originally issued at $250. Book features a retrospective of Mickey Mouse in the comics, including interviews w/Disney legends Carl Barks and Floyd Gottfredson, who have boldly signed a bound-in plate in felt tip pens w/individual inked edition number "1472/3000." Book also comes w/7" dia. vinyl picture disc record featuring image of Mickey on front and photo of the two men on back. This 33-1/3 rpm record features an interview w/Barks and Gottfredson and has matching hand-inked edition number. Highlights of this book include eight complete unedited 1930s daily and Sunday newspaper sequences reprinted in full color/full newspaper size and a 32-page section features Carl Barks original sketches for an un-produced feature length Mickey Mouse cartoon titled "Northwest Mounted." Book also includes full length Carl Barks Mickey Mouse story titled "Riddle Of The Red Hat" which originally appeared in "Four Color Comics" #79. Book comes in original plain cardboard shipping carton and is NM. An exceptional book signed by two of the all-time great Disney Legends.
