Authored by two of Disney's legendary Nine Old Men - Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston - book was published by Abbeville Press. This is first edition ©1981 WDP. Book features countless full-color illustrations dealing w/Disney animation from concept art to storyboards to bkgs. and character development and much more. Deluxe edition book has been signed on inside front cover plate in felt tip pen by Thomas and Johnston. Plate notes "This Special Edition Of Disney Animation: The Illusion Of Life By Frank Thomas And Ollie Johnston Is Signed By The Authors And Contains A Foot Of Original Film From A Disney Classic." Filmstrip comes in plastic sleeve and features 16 frames from the 1940 animated musical film "Fantasia," featuring dinosaurs from "The Rite Of Spring" sequence.
