Item Description
This exceptional toy consists of painted tin three-wheeled cart w/built-in key along w/a pair of attached celluloid figures of Mickey Mouse as the driver and smaller Minnie Mouse seated in the back. Made in Japan, 1930s and distributed by Geo. Borgfeldt Corp. Original cardboard box features nice art on all sides of lid w/top and two side panels depicting the toy. Lid has corner split and is evenly aged w/edge/corner tip wear. Box bottom has inward warp to side panels and tiny puncture on bottom. VG/Fine overall. Indent to Mickey's hand where tin handlebar was inserted, o/w figures are free of cracks or any other dents. Cart's wheels shows some trace paint wear, w/lt. wear/aging but still an exceptional and working example. VF/Exc. overall. A very rare toy w/its even rarer box. A must-have item for any serious collector of Disney wind-up toys. Only the second boxed example we've offered in our 50 years.
