Item Description
Glossy 8x8.75" news service photo shows professional golfer Billy Maxwell kissing golf ball and has been signed in black felt tip pen by Maxwell and fellow professional golfer Jacky Cupit as well as Mickey Mantle. Photo was used for newspapers and has had some typical linework/editing added to Maxwell's hand. Back has partial "Dallas News Art" label as well as handwritten note about Maxwell and June 24, 1965 date. Left margin of photo is uneven as trimmed, but main image remains distinct. Cupit's signature has small stain on last name w/slight smudge, but still legible. Photo has some scattered handling wear and is Fine overall. Maxwell's signature displays Exc. Mantle's signature has slight smudge and is o/w VF. Cupit signature is Fine. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
