Item Description
"Spectreman" is a Japanese tokusatsu (any live-action film or TV drama that features considerable use of special effects) series produced by P Productions that aired from Jan. 2, 1971 to March 25, 1972. Spectreman fights an array of giant monsters deployed by the mad scientist Dr. Gori and his henchman Karras. Offered here is a 12.25x16.5x1.75" deep box w/wonderfully illustrated lid showing Spectreman w/Dr. Gori and kaiju Zeron, Gilagind and Gokinosaurus. Box contains bagatelle made for the Japanese market by Yonezawa, early 1970s. Box is complete w/cardboard corner inserts and shows scattered wear to lid which is evenly aged. Bottom side panel has staple repair to 1.75" tear. Box is Fine overall. Plastic case bagatelle features great graphics repeated from lid. NM w/bag of glass marbles. Scarce.
