6-1/8x6.75" thin cardstock fan photo featuring Emmett Kelly (1898-1979) in his iconic "Weary Willie" hobo clown persona. Photo has been signed in blue ink "To My Friend Katie - From Emmett Kelly" w/Kelly adding "1944" date, from early in his career w/Ringling Brother and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Photo has .25" tear at upper right margin, affecting last three letters of Kelly's last name. .5" tear below this, just below date. Back has paper remnants from scrapbook mounting. Fine overall. Rare. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
