Item Description
3-1/8x3-5/8x5/8" thick hinged embossed leather case w/plush velvet lining and exterior metal hook latch contains sixth plate ambrotype showing tinted portrait of English policeman in full uniform, w/"02" insignia on collar and hat. 1860. Case has cloth tape reinforcement along hinge and shows some scattered wear at corners and along edges. Ambrotype has some emulsion flaking at three corners, but not affecting the portrait, which remains distinct. VG overall.
