Item Description
2-3/8x3-5/8" tintype plate features nice studio portrait image of young boy wearing star-spangled outfit, very reminiscent of Uncle Sam and most likely for a July 4th parade. 1880s. Plate has a few lt. handling bends and overall aging. Image shows trace wear, visible in reflected light. Typical corner tip/edge wear. VG overall.
