3-1/8x3.5x.75" thick hinged embossed leather case w/plush velvet lining and exterior metal hook latch contains sixth plate daguerreotype showing portrait of soldier in Mexican War era uniform including wheel cap. 1840s. Case shows some scattered wear/aging at corners and along edges, but remains sturdy and Fine overall. Daguerreotype has some margin staining but main image remains clean w/sharp image
