Item Description
3x3.5x4.25" thick hinged embossed leather case w/plush velvet lining and exterior metal hook latches contains sixth plate tintype showing Union artillery officer in uniform (w/corps badge) posing w/hands on his sword. Hand-tinted sash w/gold accents have been added to uniform buttons, buckle and sword hilt. 1860s. Case shows some scattered wear at corners and along edges w/rubs to raised designs, but remains sturdy and Fine overall. Inner brass frame has tiny spot of tarnish, tintype o/w Exc.
