Item Description
8-3/8x11" sheet of art paper has mixed media illustration/painting original art featuring close-up portrait image of the Golden Age Human Torch, slightly different than featured on final painted cover to "Marvels" #1, published by Marvel Comics as a four issued limited series in 1994. The final cover featured a full body image of the Torch landing amidst cars and people. This preliminary cover shows how Ross figured out lighting for this iconic cover. The "Marvels" series helped launch Ross into the super stardom he has today. Small corner crease at lower right, o/w art is Exc.
