Item Description
16-1/8x31-1/8" frame contains oil painting on board that has been double-matted to 8.5x19.75". Art by Stephen Haigh, whose nearly 25 year long career has seen him work as a graphic designer, illustrator and painter. Haigh has had work on display at various galleries and museums and he has done work for The Franklin Mint, Disney Studios, Aramark Inc., McDonalds Inc., American Eagle Outfitters, Woolrich Sportswear, and several top advertising agencies. He is currently creating art for books as well as fine art. Created using a few reference photos of Jackie Robinson, one showing him standing near a batting cage w/fellow players while another formed the basis for how Haigh depicted Robinson's face. Noting the piece's quiet strength, Haigh has mentioned it was a favorite of his. Haigh has signed at lower left. Art comes w/correspondence from the artist. NM and ready for display as professionally double-matted and framed.
