Large variety 7x9x1.75" deep nicely illustrated, full color box contains complete set by Acme Plastics Manufacturing Co. Inc. ©1940 The Superman, Inc. Box lid features classic hands-on-hips pose of Superman w/additional image of either side w/city bkg. Perforated display lid has been punched. Side panels feature different action illustrations in a filmstrip style. Box is complete w/original but generic red die-cut insert holding 3" wide plastic filmstrip viewer and three boxed filmstrips. Box lid has .75" archival tape repair to split at punched display, archival tape reinforcements/repairs along lid hinge and some surface paper tears to back which also has 3/8" spot of staining. .5" tear repair w/color touch-up at top of lid. Box has some corner tip/edge wear and lt. aging but remains Fine for display. This is the larger of two sets and included within are complete film #1 (in viewer) and boxed films #2-4. Each of the three boxes features great full body images of Superman on all four sides and are Exc. Viewer is NM. Franco Toscanini Collection.
