He also co-created such features as Aquaman, Green Arrow and Johnny Quick and served as story editor for the "Adventures of Superman" TV series. Offered here are two 1945 typed letters from Weisinger to same recipient - artist and writer Howard Wandrei, who worked on "Weird Tales" and other titles. Envelope w/"Superman, Inc." illustrated letterhead is postmarked April 26 and enclosed 4x6" typed note on Weisinger personal letterhead references Weisinger staying at Wandrie's home, going on to mention refrigerator repair as well as woman phoning and another person dropping by asking for copy from Wandrei, causing Weisinger to question "Have You Retired, You Lazy B?" Note also mentions Weisinger's brother being injured in Germany. Weisinger has signed in red pencil. Horizontal fold as mailed w/some handling wear. VF. Envelope w/"Superman, Inc." illustrated letterhead is postmarked Sept. 5 and enclosed 8.5x11" typed letter dated Sept. 5 talks at length about Weisinger staying at Wandrei's home and taking care of his belongings, mentions agents and publishing as well as home life and children. Interesting pair from a DC Comics legend.
