Item Description
11.75x16.5" acetate sheet w/4x5.25" cel image showing wonderful full body image of Roger Rabbit clutching at his throat as it appears he is lifted off the ground. Attached peghole strip at bottom margin has "625" sequence number, making this among the first animation cels ever done of Roger Rabbit to help prove the concept of a blend of animation and live-action would work as a feature-length film. This cel (and others like it) was shot and committed to film before it was decided to change the shading and coloring scheme. For instance, Roger appears here as a gray rabbit which was the original intention. It was ultimately decided that he should be colored white so while similar animation appears in the film, these particular cels never made the big screen. Cel is 100% authentic "Roger Rabbit" as produced by Richard Williams and the Disney crew to produce the first Roger effects reel made by Industrial Light and Magic Studios. Wonderfully expressive image. Exc.
