Item Description
21.75x28 thin cardboard poster for May 17, 1963 concert that took place at the Municipal Auditorium in Columbus, GA featuring Johnny Cash and The Tennessee 3 (listing "I Walk The Line" and "Folsom Prison" song titles), June Carter "Of The Famous Carter Family" and "America's Most Beloved Cowboy" Tex Ritter as well as Mother Maybelle Carter. The Louvin Brothers, Charlie and Ira, Luther Perkins, Marshall Grant, W.S. Holland "And Many More Opry Stars" in a "Big 3 Hour Show." Cash, Carter and Ritter are featured in photo portraits. Bottom margin has had black felt tip pen ticket locations added. Poster shows obvious wear w/large and dark moisture stain, effecting left third of poster and spreading to affect left half at bottom. Moisture has resulted in moderate ripple to poster and some scattered surface paper loss. Lower left corner tip off and heavy wear to top left corner, which has tape repairs on back. Good overall. Scarce early concert poster.
