Item Description
5.5" tall wood composition figure was designed by legendary Superman artist Wayne Boring to promote Superman to DC Comics' distributors and retailers. 1942. This is brown and red version (also produced in fully painted version, see item #1769). One knee has hairline crack that has been stabilized but no breaks, including ankles which are a typical defect w/this figure. Red paint is original. Much paint wear to painted face, now displays dark. Still a very displayable and all original example. Fine/VF overall. A must-have for the Superman collector. Franco Toscanini Collection.
