Item Description
1.25" w/St. Louis Button Co. paper. Dated "1812/1912" plus "Battle Of The Mississinewa/Centennial Celebration". Harrison ordered an expedition against Miami Indian villages in retaliation for attacks on Fort Wayne and Fort Harrison in the Indiana Territory. We believe Harrison is pictured with Miami chief Jean Baptiste de Ricardville, born about 1761 in the Miami village of Kekionga to a Native American mother and French fur trader (from Quebec) father. Reverse has 1" hairline cello split along the collet as made and laying perfectly flat. Glossy and Exc., displaying Mint. One known to us.
