Item Description
Large and impressive 32.5x38.25" high quality frame contains 22x28" 80-color serigraph presented in elegant mat display. Produced from Carl Barks' original 1994 oil painting in celebration of Donald Duck's 60th Birthday. The painting shows 15 Disney characters- Donald Duck, Uncle Scrooge, Huey, Dewey, Louie, Daisy Duck, Gladstone Gander, Grandma Duck, Gus Goose, Clarabelle Cow and Horace Horsecollar as well as Peter Pig and Clara Cluck (both from Donald's 1934 debut cartoon "The Wise Little Hen"). Gyro Gearloose is seen operating a radio-controlled robot of Donald (as he first appeared) and Gyro's robotic sidekick Little Helper stands atop "DD" flag on boat. Uncle Scrooge's money bin is seen in distant bkg. This serigraph was released in three different editions; regular, remarqued and deluxe. This version was limited to 500 numbered editions and has hand-numbered "105/500" edition number at lower left in pencil. "Surprise Party At Memory Pond" title has been hand-written below image at center and Barks has signed his name in at lower right in pencil. Serigraph is printed from hand-done color separations incorporating 80 colors on a sheet of 100% rag, 320 gram acid-free Coventry paper. Exc. As framed, serigraph makes for a NM display.
