Item Description
22x28" thin cardboard poster for Dec. 25-30, 1975 concerts that took place at the Showcase Theatre in Detroit, MI. These concerts were part of James Brown's "Future Shock" TV variety show, which ran 1976-1979. Brown played 14 shows at this venue during this poster's advertised dates. Poster features great full body portrait of a mustachioed Brown wearing a futuristic designed space-themed jumpsuit as well as a rocketing spaceship and alien planet. Poster also features some of Brown's hits, including "Sentimental Reasons, Get Up Offa That Thing, Hustle, Everybody Wanna Get Funky One More Time." Poster shows obvious aging/wear, w/staple holes at corners (w/some pulls), 1" corner off upper right w/2" tear, 2.25" tear along left center margin, 1.5" tear at bottom right corner and scattered moisture staining across bottom third of poster. VG overall.
