Item Description
1.75" with back paper from L.A. Badge and Mfg. Co. This event was officially titled "Los Angeles International Air Meet", one of the very first air shows in America with an 11 day run and attendance of 254,000 people. The L.A. Times called it "One Of The Greatest Public Events In The History Of The West." The striking graphic button features an orange sky over mountain tops with cloud accents and realistic designs of a bi-plane, a hot air balloon and a rather fanciful balloon powered device with a rocket-ship shaped suspended frame. While this is not the book photo specimen, this button is of the same design and color as that pictured on color plate page 164 of Hake's Collectible Pin-Back Buttons. Rare and essentially Mint.
