Item Description
14.25x20-7/8" sheet of thin cardboard applied to heavy artboard has mixed media original art for prototype sign promoting classic 1940s World War II "Paratroopers" premium. Nicely finished art shows boy holding warplane w/hand-lettered/painted text reading "Paratroopers That Jump Out Of Big Army Plane And Glide Down To Earth In Realistic Parachutes." Several paratroopers are seen on sign. Lower right has partial text that reads "This Set Consists Of" w/rest of text being indistinct as painted. Lower right margin has some indistinct pencil notes. Margins show moderate dust soiling, but art remains clean and could easily be matted for a VF display. Unique. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
