Item Description
Lot of three paper-wrapped artboards featuring mixed media original art for proposed 1950s Post Sugar Crisp cereal box insert premiums featuring Sugar Crisp Bears mascots Dandy, Handy and Candy. Each artboard measures 8x13.5". One shows punch-out card of "Post's Sugar Crisp Bears" and shows them in various configurations including "Trapeze Bear, Puzzle Bear, Acrobat Bears" and "Dancing Bear." Another card shows four "Post's Sugar Crisp Bear Stickers" showing them as "Cowboy, Policeman, Lifeguard" and as baseball "Champ." Handwritten pencil text notes uses included - "Paste On Books, Toys, Stationary [sic}, Gift Cards, Greetings, Tatoos [sic], And Etc." Last shows two different "Metal Post Bear Clip Ons" in different colors. Each artboard has "S. Gold" name and each shows even lt. aging and some scattered wear. Fine/VF overall. Neat art/designs featuring these classic cereal mascots. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
