Item Description
Lot of three 7" long felt-flocked cardstock pennants w/all original art for the following colleges - "Princeton, Purdue" and "Yale." End margins each have "Kleenstick" pencil notation. Some lt. aging to "Yale" lettering (which is just unflocked lettering, not painted like other two), o/w NM. Comes w/12x23.75" sheet of paper has all original art (mixed media) for sign advertising 1950s Old Gold cigarettes "College Pennants" premium. Old Gold package at lower right w/nine different pennant images shown. These include - Navy, Ohio, Old Miss, Columbia, Army" and others. Hand-lettered text reads "Free! Colorful Felt-Flocked College Pennants - One Packed In Every Carton Of.. Old gold Cigarettes." Sheet has three vertical fold lines and two horizontal. Top left margin has .5" tear but still VF overall. Unique lot. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
