Item Description
15/16" with names and 1860 date on each side of the frame. An olive spray with three leaf clusters to left and right of each date. The Lincoln photo is that designed #1 by DeWitt. This item differs from 1860-90 because there is a period after Hamlin. This differs from 1860-91 because the circle enclosing Hamlin is pearled, not plain. The Lincoln emulsion has very fine craze lines seen only in reflected light or with magnification. The only missing emulsion is a barely visible speck at extreme top edge.
The Hamlin emulsion has barely seen 1/16" scratch on upper right background. Both emulsion surfaces remain fully reflective and overall Exc. and the brass frame has NM luster. A beautiful example of a rare unlisted variety.
