Item Description
5-7/8" long impressive heavy brass shell badge with center opening for 1-5/8" diameter glass with reverse sepia tone real photo dated above "1888".  For unknown reason, since glass is sealed with brass reverse, the area below Cleveland's collar is without detail and black in color. The glass, at 9 o'clock edge, shows two short fracture lines but this is only on the reverse as the front surface remains smooth. Full text reads "National Association Of Democratic Clubs". Below, on short chain beneath the crossed American flags,  is a figural anchor. Reverse has thin bar with a remnant of the red ribbon that once backed the item. For complete example see Hake 3181 which has 2004 Revised Price value of $2300. Rare and overall Fine with clear image area and very nice luster.
