Item Description
16.5x22" wooden frame holds wonderful original art cover recreation for "All Star Comics" #33 (see item #1369 for more information) that has been reverse painted on glass and mounted w/mirrored glass backing. Art was recreated by the original cover artist - Irwin Hasen (1918-2015), who has included a small portrait of his comic strip character Dondi at bottom right, signing his name and adding "'04" date. Paint is a bit thin in areas as designed, allowing the mirror backing to give a wonderful reflective quality to art. Exc. This is just one of two pieces Hasen created like this.
