Item Description
14x36" insert poster for the original release of the 1957 Universal-International Sci-Fi film about a meteorite that crashes in Southern California, exploding into hundreds of fragments w/strange properties. When exposed to water, they grow very large and tall and also begin to slowly petrify some of the inhabitants of a nearby small town. Film was directed by John Sherwood and stars Grant Williams and Lola Albright. Poster features great graphic of the "Living Skyscrapers Of Stone Thundering Across Earth?" as people flee. Two inset illustrations at bottom show meteorite and petrified people. Poster has three horizontal folds as issued and has single pin hole at corners. 1/8" pin hole pull at top center, just below promotional text. Some lt. handling wear and dust soiling to margins, but still Fine overall.
