Item Description
27x41" one-sheet poster for the 1958 American release of "The Crawling Eye," which was originally released in the UK as "The Trollenberg Terror." Poster features one of the greatest 1950s Sci-Fi images, that of a giant tentacled eyeball menacing a woman. Poster has been folded as issued (w/additional vertical folds to left and right of center fold line) and shows obvious wear, w/staple holes at corners and along margins, resulting in some pulls. Margins show wear w/a few small chips and poster shows wear along fold lines and at fold crease intersections; .25" hole at center left and 2.5" vertical split at center w/1" horizontal split and .5x.75" hole at center. Poster also has two small streaks of white paint; one to eyelid and one just above and to the left. Good/VG and a prime candidate for restoration/conservation.
