Item Description
14x18.25" poster for original Belgian release of the 1951 Paramount Picture Sci-Fi classic directed by George Pal and starring Richard Derr, Barbara Rush, Peter Hansen and John Hoyt. The film is based on the 1932 Sci-Fi novel of the same name. Poster features stunning images of rocketships in space as well as the impending destruction of Earth by an approaching star. Top marquee margin has been trimmed, but strip of paper has been added at top, making for clean border. Poster has some horizontal folds w/center vertical fold. Tax stamp at lower right. Remnants of date sheet along bottom margin. Margins show scattered wear including small tears as well as some scattered moderate aging. Poster is VG overall, but could be framed for nice display as main image area remains clean and poster retains vivid color.
