Item Description
1-5/8" long beautifully detailed black enamel and engraved gold depiction of a steam engine including billowing smoke, driver in the cab and coal tender. Not marked but tested as 14K. At the top is both a fixed and a moveable loop. On the blank reverse is the beautifully engraved text "A Xmas Souvenir/Of 1888-From/Mr. Wm. Gilmor To Engineer McCleary/Engine No. 6". Gilmor was president of the Maryland Central Railroad. The item weighs in excess of 10 grams. Beautiful, unique and essentially Mint.
