Item Description
11x17" Marvel artboard has original art by Audwynn Newman w/inks by Mark McKenna for page 21 of "Excalibur" Vol. 1 Annual #1, published by Marvel Comics Sept. 1993. Splash page features full body image of issue antagonists Ghath and Khaos standing before electronic map display, which is also featured on close-up panel at bottom. Effects for screen are inked on attached vellum overlay, top and bottom of which have handwritten notes on coloring. All box text on artboard is hand-lettered. Top margin has hand-written title, issue and page number. Small pieces of tape at top left/right corners as well as bottom center used to secure overlay, but only top left remains attached. Art remains clean and Exc.
