Item Description
5.5x8.25" hardcover w/160 pages and original dust jacket. First edition, published by S.J. Bloch Publishing Co. ©1944 Max Fleischer. Book was written by animation legend Max Fleischer (1883-1972), known for his work during the 1930s and 1940s w/Popeye, Betty Boop and Superman. Book offers a fantasy narrative of Noah's Flood, w/natural history and ecology facts sprinkled throughout. First blank page has been signed in blue ink by Fleischer, who adds "To Clark Broderick - With My Best Wishes - Sincerely Max Fleischer" inscription. DJ is unclipped and has scattered edge wear, w/small tears and 1" split at bottom of spine (w/small piece out). DJ is VG/Fine. Book has just lt. corner tip wear and pages are lightly aged. VF/Exc. Signature/inscription is Exc. Scarce as signed first edition. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
