Item Description
Pair of 11x14" lobby cards for original release of the 1940 Universal Pictures 12 chapter movie serial directed by Ford Beebe and starring Buster Crabbe as Flash Gordon and Charles Middleton as his nemesis, Ming the Merciless. Both cards are for Chapter 8, "The Fiery Abyss" and one card features Crabbe as Flash Gordon w/Carol Hughes as Dale Arden and Frank Shannon as Dr. Zarkov, surrounded by rock creatures. Card has lt. corner tip wear and a few tiny marks at center left margin but is o/w Exc. Other card shows Ming sitting on his throne. Top left margin has 2" streak of moisture staining and is Fine/VF. Both are free of pin holes. Both are rare. Richard Calusdian Collection.
