Item Description
Wonderfully illustrated cardboard box contains 7" long by 5" tall painted pressed steel w/1.5" wide "Flash Gordon Signal Pistol" decal on right side. ©1935 King Features Syndicate, Inc. Box is missing one inner flap and has another loose (but included) and shows moderate wear at this end. Box has even moderate aging and 1.25" line puncture on one main panel. VG. Pistol came in three color varieties, this is red. Decal shows trace edge wear, and near 100% complete. Trace of lt. scattered wear. Works, loud siren sounds when trigger is pulled and occasionally sparks. VF/Exc. Great design. Comes w/evenly aged instruction sheet which has fold at center and shows some handling wear. Fine overall. Rare as boxed. Richard Calusdian Collection.
