Item Description
Ring is unmarked but tests as silver. Solid band (size 7) has Greek key design with embossed oval on top showing overlapping portraits of both rulers with date of "1914" below. The assassination of Franz Joseph's nephew in June, 1914 launched the events quickly leading to World War I and this ring was likely made to demonstrate the alliance between Austria and Germany. Normal tarnish, otherwise Mint. One seen.
