Item Description
15x22-1/8" artboard has pen and ink original art for page 12, a "Tugboat Tessie" story in "Seven Seas Comics" #6, published by Leader Enterprises/Universal Phoenix Features in 1947. Art is by Alex Blum (1889-1969), a comic book artist best remembered for his contributions to the long-running series "Classics Illustrated." Page features six panels, w/speedboat chase foiled by large net at pier. Top margin has "S.M. Iger name and New York City address printed. Bottom margin has spaces provided for "Book, Flat" and "Page" designations, book and page spaces have red penciling. Art has some scattered white correctional fluid touch-ups as created and artboard is evenly aged w/some scattered dust soiling. Top right and lower left have corner tips off. Fine overall w/VF art.
