Item Description
8.5x11" original script for the "Adventures Of Superman" episode "The Haunted Lighthouse," which aired Sept. 26, 1952. "Adventures Of Superman" was the first TV series to feature Superman and was produced for first-run TV syndication rather than a network, airing Sept. 19, 1952 to April 28, 1958. This script is for the second episode of the first season. This is director Thomas Carr's personal copy, w/his name penciled on cover and several pencil notations throughout the script's pages. Carr was an actor and film director who co-directed the "Superman" movie serial w/Spencer Gordon Bennet in 1948. Top of first script page has been signed in black felt tip pen "To Dave - Sincere Wishes  - Spencer Gordon Bennet." Bennet is known as "King of the Serial Directors" as he directed more film serials than any other director, directing over 100 serial, including both Superman serials. Covers are lightly aged and show lt. wear at hole punches but are VF overall w/Exc. signature. Early and historic script for this classic Superman show, further enhanced by the connection to the two directors associated w/Superman's early years in Hollywood. Comes with Hake's COA.
