Full 16.25x21-1/8" newspaper page from the "St. Louis Post-Dispatch" dated Sept. 8, 1939. Page includes full page advertisement for "4 New Adventure Strips" debuting in the daily edition of the newspaper, including - "Buck Rogers, Mandrake The Magician, Brick Bradford" and "Superman" w/full body image of characters. Ad refers to Buck Rogers, Mandrake The Magician and Brick Bradford as "Old Favorites" and goes on to read "Superman, The Fourth New Strip, Tells The Amazing Story Of A Man Born On Another Planet. Strong As A Locomotive Crane, Faster Than An Airplane, He Comes To This Earth And Creates A Sensation With His Thrilling Exploits. If You Like Adventure, You'll Like Superman." Ad goes on to note "Starting Next Monday In The Daily Post-Dispatch." Margins have tanned w/age and have a few small tears/chips. Right margins slightly uneven as removed.
