Item Description
29.5" long (not including tassels) felt pennant w/silk-screened portrait of Uncle Sam at left and "New York Yankees 1949 American League Champs" text. Pennant was issued after the Yankees won their 16th pennant, finishing one game ahead of the Boston Red Sox. Under the management of Casey Stengel, they defeated the Brooklyn Dodgers in 5 games to win the 1949 World Series. Pennant has some lt. scattered dust soiling and tiny tip wear. Two small pulls, one to first letter "E" in "Yankees" and just below. Still displays VF overall.
