Item Description
1-1/16" with tin reverse missing a vertical pin and clasp. This is DeWitt/Sullivan 1868-118. Brass rim has "1868" with three acorns to each side. Star cut-outs retain at least 50% of the red/white/blue accent colors. At top, two sets of three oval rings symbolize friendship, love and truth. The ferrotype has "Grant" in the emulsion. There are two tiny emulsion dots gone from left edge and right shoulder edge, but neither shows much at all unless magnified. With magnification there are a couple short emulsion cracks adjacent to the small emulsion losses. Overall at least 97% emulsion remains. An unusual rim design, quite scarce and displays  Fine.
