Item Description
See following item #642 for Hubbard biography. Offered here is 7-1/8x8.5" sheet of paper that has been folded in half w/"The Roycroft Shop" letterhead at top right. Letter has been dated Dec. 12, 1899 and is handwritten in black ink, thanking writer for letter and mentions the inclusion of a few books. Hubbard has boldly signed at bottom. Letter has some handling wear w/7.25" diagonal fold at left and horizontal fold at center as mailed. Fine/VF. Comes w/6x8" copy of "A Message To Garcia," published by The Roycrofters in East Aurora, NY c. 1904. Inside front/back covers have related newspaper clippings w/inked newspaper names/dates w/newspaper portrait of Major Andrew S. Rowan attached to back of title page. Book has some scattered handling wear/aging but is VF overall. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
