Item Description
5.75x10" piece of thin artboard has pen and ink original art showing Marx's Army H-Q Staff Car wind-up, showing sparks emitting from gun sticking through windshield. Original art is from Marx factory archives and was used for promotional purposes. This large tin litho/pressed steel wind-up toy was produced by Marx in late 1930s. Version shown here has slightly different roof design than one on the produced toy. Artboard has even aging and some scattered dust soiling/handling wear. Back of artboard has some scattered glue staining on reverse as once mounted in scrapbook, but art is still clean and VF/Exc. overall. All Marx original art of this type is rare and desirable.
