Item Description
11-1/8x17-1/8" Marvel Comics artboard features pen and ink original art by Hoang Nguyen for cover to "The Punisher: War Zone" Vol. 1 #22, published by Marvel Dec. 1993. Nguyen's art features a crazed looking Punisher wearing a bandana and blasting away w/a large assault rifle, multiple ammunition belts feeding into weapon. Some of Nguyen's preliminary blue pencil art remains visible, w/faint smiling face at UPC box. Area above Punisher image and at bottom center have some lt. glue staining from placement of intricately die-cut title, publishing indicia and "Taking The Tiger By The Tail!" story title stat paste-overs. Majority of these are included loose w/art and can be replaced if so desired. Bottom margin has inked title, issue number, artist name as well as "Taking Tiger Mountain" story title. Artboard has three small staple holes along top margin but art remains clean and is VF overall w/exception of mentioned lt. glue staining. Nguyen has signed in gold paint pen by tip of rifle barrel.
