Item Description
Pair of single-sided paper signs advertising Flavor-Ized Flare-Top ice cream cones, ©1947 Famous Artists Syndicate. 8x15.5" sign features Smitty and Mr. Bailey carrying immense ice cream cone containing "A Whole Tubful Of Ice Cream" to waiting Herbie. Sign advertises "Eat-It-All Cake Cup" cones. Unused price circle at lower right. Bottom has some scattered dust soiling but sign is VF overall. 9.25x14-3/8" sign features Don Winslow and Red Pennington w/ice cream cones as their fellow US Navy sailors shoot artillery target in distance w/"A Hit - Everywhere" text and large image of "Flare-Top" ice cream cone. Sign is evenly aged and Exc. Among the nicest of all multi-comic character advertising signs. Both are scarce. From the archives of premium creators Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with LOA.
