Item Description
8.25x11.75x1.5" deep illustrated cardboard box has lid graphics showing six author's names w/matching story graphics printed in red. Published by Gilberton. c. 1940s. Five titles/numbers include comic books pictured on lid - "The Three Musketeers" #1, "Ivanhoe" #2, "The Count Of Monte Cristo" #3, "The Last Of The Mohicans" #4 and "Moby Dick" #5. All are HRN 28. Covers are a different paper stock than standard. Comic books have some aging and minor wear. Lt. oxidation on a few staples. VG/Fine overall. One piece box has moderate handling wear w/end flaps intact but no inner flaps. One flap tape repaired. Lt. creases, small tears. Eight titles have been neatly written on back of box in pen. Displays G/VG. All of these gift boxes are scarce, especially with the books included. Richard Calusdian Collection.
